Betty's Journal

Betty's Journal is a journal that belongs to Lauren Baxter.

According to It's a Happy, Happy, Happy, Happy World, it makes Blythe happy. It debuted in The Tortoise and the Heir that Speedy gave to Blythe while thinking she was Betty.

Betty hid it in Speedy shell and asked him not to let anyone see it because Betty did not want anyone to read it because she knew that nobody could ever understand how it feels to have her ability to talk to pets, so Betty wrote all about it in her journal. In It's a Happy, Happy, Happy, Happy World Blythe lost her journal and Sunil managed to find it and brought it back to Blythe.

Journal Entries[]

"Dear diary, I thought I always knew what I wanted to be when I grew up, but when I discovered I could speak with pets, while it's turned everything upside down, but in the best way! Wait, did I just write I could speak to pets? Yes, I can and you're the only one who knows, diary. But I'm glad you do."
The Tortoise and the Heir
"One thing I learned from my tortoise Speedy Shellburg is if you want to get something done fast, sometimes you have to slow down. Now that is good advice. Don't you think?"
Pitch Purrfect
"But if there's one thing I learned from this, it's never ignore a porcupine on a mission. "

"The ability to communicate with pets can disappear if you take a certain brand of awful-tasting herbal cold medicine."
—In Betty’s Journal she ripped out the last page and stuck it at the back of her own journal. The full and final entry reveal that she once took the same cold herbal medicine that Blythe once had[1] and like Blythe it resulted Betty to temporarily losing her ability to talk to pets (On the Same Page)

Betty wore stripes to a leopard's party.[2] Betty always says in her journal, life is like a bag of pet food.[3]
